I am a PhD candidate at Johns Hopkins University, with an expected graduation date of June 2026. I earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Art & Art History from Dickinson College and also studied Studio Art at Temple University in Rome, Italy.

My research lies at the intersection of philosophy of language and social philosophy. I examine how language can cause or reinforce harm (whether linguistic, epistemic, or moral) and how it can be used to resist such harm. I am interested in how conversational contexts can be shaped to enable reparative and other relationship-building work, as well as in the ways social stratification influences both linguistic practices and the development of theoretical frameworks for understanding ordinary language.
